Power generating facility means a facility to convert primary energy to electrical energy which consists of one or more power generating modules connected to a network at one or more connection points (Article 2(5) of the Network Code on Requirements for Grid Connection of Generators (NC RfG)).

In turn, Regulation (EU) 2019/943 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 June 2019 on the internal market for electricity (recast) in Article 2(28) defines a ‘power-generating facility’ as 'a facility that converts primary energy into electrical energy and which consists of one or more power-generating modules connected to a network'.
